Welcome to the Front Row Club!

This recording was made as a reference for ourselves while touring and as an archive of our live performance - it was never planned to be released. We have taken the original recording and 'mastered' it to provide a better sonic experience, however it has not been re-touched or overdubbed in any way. This recording is provided "as is" - warts and all - for your listening pleasure, so please keep this in mind when listening!

The Front Row Club is intended for those with "Front Row" passion for the band and it's touring history. And, of course, the future! Thank you for sharing your passion with us.

"Those Michael Jackson gloves rock!" That's what my best friend Mark Doherty laughingly, yelled into my ear 13 years ago at the Rocky in Detroit, Michigan. It took us four songs, but by the end of Uninvited Guest we had finally figured out that H's gloves were more than just a weird fashion statement or a way to keep his hands warm on a cold Thursday night in Michigan. "It's some kind of keyboard. He is playing music with those things! Cool!"

Mark and I ditched our respective college classes that night and headed up to Detroit from Toledo, Ohio, but the icy roads turned the one hour drive into a two hours. After enduring the sticker shock from the high priced pitcher of cheap beer, the opening sounds of King Of Sunset Town slowly started building through the room. The band took the stage to the roar of the faithful and launched into an electric version of the new album's opener. Slainte Mhath followed. There is just something to that song that gets the adrenaline going. That night was no exception as I recall to this day how pumped it had me going.

H quickly convinced us that he was more than suitable to take over the vocal duties with a staggering rendition of Script For A Jester's Tear. The highlight of the show though had to be Rothery's guitar solo during Easter. It was incredible! Or was it Pete's bass at the start of Holloway Girl? Perhaps the band's intense overall performance of Berlin? The set selection of old and new material was fantastic while the band's performance was even better!

Maybe it was my imagination back then, but I swear Mark, Pete, Steve R  and Ian all had this "I told you so" look on their faces all night. H and the band delivered a great live show!
